Come make some joyful noise with Queer Taiko! This family-friendly taiko class is a space for LGBTQIA+ families, chosen families, and allies to drum, move, play, and build community together.

Over 4 weeks, families with children ages 6+ will explore the power and joy of Japanese taiko through exciting rhythms, dynamic movement, and lots of play. No prior experience is needed—we’ll learn together, support each other, and celebrate the many ways families and communities can look and sound.

Rooted in queer joy, connection, and collective expression, this class is a welcoming space to show up as your full self, make some joyful noise, and connect with other queer and allied families in Oakland.
