 —  —

This class is held virtually via Zoom

No experience necessary, try something new from the safety of your own home! This 4-week class will meet on Mondays from 5:30 - 6:30pm pacific time on 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, and 5/16. Each week's lesson is recorded and you will have access to the recordings for up to a week after the final lesson. Fee is $60 via Venmo, PayPal or mailed check. This class is designed to be taken multiple times until skill level and song knowledge progresses to where you can move up to the intermediate class. Email kristyoshiro@gmail.com to register and I will email a link that you will need to access the virtual class.

Here's what else you will need:

A computer, tablet, or phone that can connect to the internet and has the free Zoom app installed. The bigger the screen the better.

A stable internet connection

Something to use for a taiko (drum). It can be as simple as a pillow on a table top, couch cushions, rolled up phone book/magazines, or a drum practice pad or a homemade plastic trash can drum made with a plastic trash can (or anything with a round opening) and cheap plastic tape.

Something to use for bachi (drumsticks). Can be as simple as similarly-sized kitchen utensils, or a bunch of sheets of paper rolled lengthwise into thin cylinders secured with tape, or 7/8" wooden dowel cut into 16" lengths and rounded edges with sandpaper.
